Furman University seeks an energetic and innovative individual to manage the day-to-day operations of the Library’s DigiCenter which is responsible for the development and maintenance of the University’s digital collections.
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Discovery Services, the DigiCenter Manager is responsible for planning and managing the digitization of analog materials, developing and implementing metadata standards, maintaining the Library’s digital repository software: LUNA, and supervising the DigiCenter Specialist (a full-time staff position) and 5-6 student assistants. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience with project planning, digitization techniques and standards, digital media editing software, and metadata assignment. This position will serve as a liaison with University faculty and Library Special Collections staff in the development of digital collections.
